A little while ago, I started seeing ads for Stargaze Jewelry pop up left and right.
At first it was on my Facebook, then my Instagram's explore page. When it started to dominate my Twitter feed as well, I decided to see what they hype was about. I always have so much respect for brands that are able to craft such a large social media presence for themselves, especially when that presence extends over not one, but three different platforms.
I've always been a sucker for dainty necklaces, and this website lit my SOUL ON FIRE the first time I visited. Every jewelry trend I'd been seeing over the summer -- gold chokers, horn necklaces and conch-inspired details -- was available on the site. I opted for the Dainty Satellite Choker and the Solace Horn Necklace, anxiously waiting for them to come in the mail. Read More
I was trying to ignore the recent revival of ballet flats, but it's pretty clear this trend is here to stay, at least through the dog days of summer and into the fall.
I'm not one for traditional ballet flats (blame it on my middle school obsession with my white cotton lace pair) so I rounded up a few versions that I can actually stand.
Lace-up ballet flats are making a huge splash in the fashion world right now, and even though I'm not sure I could see myself with a satin pair of those bad boys, I could get on board with some less-lacy pairs. Read More
If you haven't seen Beyonce's Lemonade three times through, are you even living?
Chances are, even if you (miraculously) haven't heard her latest album, you are familiar with these two words: boy BYE. That's right ladies, tell 'em boy bye!
We've all dealt with the players and the haters, and Society Letters is now making it possibly to let them know you won't put up with them before they even get the chance to talk to you.
This simple baseball cap comes in three colors -- black, white or cream -- and is super high quality. They're going for $27 right now on the shop section of Society Letters, so click away and get your own!
I can't wait to rock this hat in the fall with some leggings and a flannel around my waist (my annual fall uniform.) Read More
I had a teacher in high school who was always telling us to dress well if we wanted to do well.
She was talking about taking the English AP test, but I took the advice to heart and have made it an integral part of the way I think about style. There are days where my lengthy to-do list nearly keeps me from getting out of bed, and I feel like I can barely look in the mirror let alone pick out a killer outfit for the day. That's probably why I wear black and white so often -- it's easy to mix and match my pieces on the roughest of days.
Below are two of my all-time favorite, go-to pieces to wear to the office or out on the town... Or BOTH! These pieces can transition seamlessly from the duties of the day to happy hour, and I'm now renting them out on Garment Exchange so you can try them out for yourself! Read More
Happy, happy, happy Fourth of July weekend to all my fellow Americans! It's me here, ready to dish out some hot goss (you heard it here first) that Urban Outfitters is having a great sale right now! Okay find, it's only 30% off of sale items, but that still implies $10 tanks and $20 dresses. My eye caught sight of the sale sign in the window after class Friday and I couldn't help but wander inside... Sorry, Dad!
I've been staring at their dyed high-low dresses on the sale rack for about two months now, and finally decided to snag one today. I went for the tye dye, but they also offer this style in a maroon or blue ombré. You can find it listed online for $40, but I only paid $27 in-store. Read More
Spring has sprung. My closet has been cleaned. I'm ready to share my latest obsession with you: the fabulous necklaces of Craft by Kraft.
Maxine Kraft, who is a student at the University of Texas, has been wowing me with these babies from the minute I laid eyes on them. I'm not the only one who loves them though -- Tessie Watson of Longhorn Fashions has recently added some of Maxine's cutest necklaces to her brick-and-mortar store located near Towers in West Campus. It makes my heart so full of joy to be surrounded by hardworking women like Tessie and Maxine that know what they love, incorporate it into a business strategy and chase their dreams.
Another exciting thing about this post: most of the pieces in these looks were things I bought while in SPAIN! You read it right, of course my backpacking trip evolved into one giant shopping spree once I got to Madrid. Some of my favorite new brands are Lefties, Mango and Pull & Bear.
Below are a few of my favorite picks from Craft by Kraft. I had the pleasure of shooting this blog with three talented photographers on East 11th Street... one of the cutest little streets in Austin! If you haven't been, you should definitely check it out and stop by Quickie Pickie for some cold brew.

As you probably know by now, I'm holed up in the most amazing house in good old Rosemary Beach for yet another Thanksgiving with the best families on earth. Great meals and great company call for even greater outfits, so if you're ready for a stylish holiday then check out these outfits. Read More
While I would love to roll into work wearing my converse and a breezy tank like I did during my stay in California, the reality of the situation is that I perform better when I dress nicely. Not only do I feel more ready to tackle the work day, but I can see a noticeable difference in the way my coworkers view me as well.
So how would I describe my work style?
Clean. Tailored but relaxed. Modern.
This summer I'm addicted to black and white, partially because it's easy to throw on in the morning but also because it gives me more space to experiment with cuts and patterns. I can't limit myself to a strictly black and white wardrobe, however, so I try and add pops of subdued color for variety. Read More
